The Unicorn Goddess Isis

Unicorn Goddess Isis

Welcome to your very first Goddess Unicorn for our Unicorn Coloring Club! This week’s gorgeous Goddess is Isis. Isis is an Egyptian Goddess that is very old and can date back many thousands of years, as far back as roughly 3000 BCE and probably older by many different names.

She is a Mother Goddess and sister-wife to Osiris, the God of the Afterlife as well as of grain and the harvest. Isis ruled over kingship and when anyone came into power, they had to go through rigorous initiations in her name to be reborn as a ruler. Her headdress has a throne on it to signify her importance in this ritual. She is the saint of motherhood, often seen nursing her baby Horus in statues.

She is the Goddess of rebirth, magic, fertility, and marriage. She draws her powers from the depths of the cosmos and Mother Nature herself. Her wings spread wide in protection as she guards the souls of the living and the dead. All of us are her children as she looks over us with love.
